This classic area hike is ideal for area visitors. It includes streams, aspen trees, rock formations and panoramic views, including Pikes Peak. It provides a short trail with moderate elevation gain. Your Hike for Life guide will provide information on the geology, flora, fauna and area history during your hike. They will also instruct you on the five fundamentals of front country hiking to help prepare you for your own hikes in the future.

Logistics Instructions

Start location : Your guide will meet you at 7:30AM in the East end of the Safeway parking lot between CO Highway 24 and West Colorado Avenue. Here we will check basic gear and weather before traveling to the Crags Trailhead, 45 minutes west on the back side of Pikes Peak.

End location : Guests that followed your guide in your own car will park here and the tour will be complete when we return to the trailhead.
