Historic records relate that the original building was founded by the Friars (this is proved by the small church still present on the site); over the years it was turned into a flourishing farm as it can be inferred by the structure and also by the orchard. Because of the ancient features still visible (such as wooden walls, clay and straw bricks, stone pavements, wooden and iron-wrought pieces of furniture) the hotel is considered as a National Trust building. The refurbishment of the hotel safeguarded the features and the magical atmosphere of the original building.
It is located in Geremeas (municipality of Quartu S. Elena), just 21 km from Cagliari. Its position is unique: on the background there are the mountains of the Natural Park Sette Fratelli (where it is possible to spot deers and mouflons). Within 300 m of the hotel there is the renowned sandy beach Kala e Moru over 2 km long. Cagliari is only 20 min away and can be reached travelling on the coast road.
