Apartamentos São Paulo e Alegria -      Your studio in Funchal 31 studios with one or two bedrooms, that combine self-sufficiency of a city studio apartment with hotel facilities. With different sizes and typologies our property range from standard double rooms, to 1 or 2 bedroom studios that can accommodate up to 8 people. Our guests can choose the type of room that suits the most their needs and budget without giving up from the comfort of a daily housekeeping, breakfast service and reception. Our 31 studios are divided in 3 nearby buildings (30 meters to each other), located in one of Funchal's most authentic and historical areas, where some of the most impressive emblazoned houses stands. Our houses represent different periods of madeiran architecture and are completely integrated and in perfect harmony with the surroundings of the most known street: Rua da Carreira. São Paulo and São Paulo Anexx are from the early XX century, with heigh ceilings and beautifull wooden floor. The main house, São Paulo, was built over the city wall still visible from the breakfast lounge and restaurant. Alegria, on the other hand, is a small, bright and cosy building from the 50's. Each one of our antique buildings has its own identity reflected on the decoration, mainly classic portuguese design, and different features. - São Paulo main building and Alegria have panoramic roof terraces and São Paulo annex has a lovely courtyard with solarium and barbecue area. Our guests are free to explore and to use common areas from all buildings. Reception is situated in São Paulo main building, upon entering, a cosy hall invites its guests to feel at home - borrow a book from the reading point or take a look at the antique photographs that captures the Island from the early twentieth century. A free acess computer with internet conection and a portuguese restaurant is also available. There are no lifts in the buidings. Please let us know in advance if lower or higher floors are required.
