The hotel was built in the early 1960's and has been expanded several times since then. In 2007 the hotel added two new elevators, two luxury suites, a fitness center, a conference room and at that same timne many of the rooms were remodeled.

The hotel is located on Route 1 just off exit 48 of the Maine turnpike and is just minutes from the Maine Mall.
