The pousada is located in the building formerly used by the Royal Guard of the Court in the Palace of Queluz, known as the "Portuguese Versailles". This pousada's attractive interior design and exacting recuperation of its little private "theatre", can only match the exquisite cuisine of the Cozinha Velha restaurant. El vestíbulo es de tamaño medio, luminoso, aireado, está decorado con mármol de color crema y es muy agradable. Lleva a un salón y al comedor de desayunos.

Queluz is a city and capital of the council with the same name. It has more than 70.000 inhabitants and is localized at 14 km from Sintra and at 12 km from Lisbon. Some interesting places to visit are Pena National Palace (19th century), Village National Palace (12th/16th century), Joe Berardo Museum, Toy Museum, Mafra Convent, Cabo da Roca, Estoril, Cascais and Lisboa.
