The Lipica Stud Farm is one of the oldest stud farms in the world. For more than 400 years the tradition of breeding noble white horses has been preserved here in the center of the unique Karst area. In 1996 the Lipica Stud Farm was declared a cultural monument of outstanding importance for the Republic of Slovenia.
