Take a break from the tourist trail and discover a more authentic Morocco on an overnight adventure into the High Atlas Mountains. On this beautiful two-day loop hike, you'll start in the midst of the Todra Gorge before walking high above the gorge onto the plateau beyond. You'll be travelling on paths worn into the rock by nomadic goat herders, who've been walking these same routes for millennia. You'll stop for the night in a nomadic encampment, where you'll be welcomed by a family for an intimate glimpse of nomadic life that few other tourists get to see. This two-day hike includes accommodation in a nomad camp, all meals, and an experienced guide. Please note that accommodation in nomad camps is very basic and rustic. We suggest packing a sleeping bag and thermarest mattress (which are available for rent at our shop).

Start location : We will meet at my shop, Aventures Verticales Maroc, the only climbing/outdoor shop in Tizgui, the village just before the entrance of the gorge. Alternatively, we can meet at my guesthouse, A Secret Garden (follow the signs from the main road).
