When it first opened in 1860, this family-friendly hotel was one of the largest in Sweden. Today this 135-room hotel is one of the oldest. It was carefully renovated in 2008 with many of the original details left intact, such as the Hall of Mirrors; one of the most beautiful banquet halls in Scandinavia. The restaurant Le Trottoir and the pub, The Bishop's Arms, are popular meeting places. The hotel's modern conference facilities are equipped with the latest technology. The hotel lobby features a 24-hour reception and check-out service, newspaper stand, currency exchange facilities, hotel safe and lift access.
